Terms of service

Version 2026-10-19. These terms are between the club and Egon Expert Ltd.

This is a draft. It has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor. 1 thing is still to be completed, marked below.

1. Who we are

Nothing Unlucky (the "platform") is published by Egon Expert Ltd · registered in England and Wales, company number 10838957 · registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom · VAT number GB271922107. In these terms "we" and "us" mean Egon Expert Ltd. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Who these terms are with

The platform is licensed to a club, not to a person. The head coach buys the club's licence on the club's behalf, and by paying confirms that they may do so. In these terms "you" means the club. Coaches and players use the platform under the club's licence.

3. What you get

The platform lets a club record its events, capture notes, photos and voice notes, watch and draw on match video, plan training, and share clips and reviews with its players. What the platform does is described on its pages, and is improved over time.

4. Seats, plans and prices

  • A seat is one coach on one team in the club. A coach on two teams takes two seats. Every team needs at least one seat: a team with no coach assigned is the head coach's own, and takes one. The head coach is never a seat of their own. Players are not seats, and are free.
  • A seat costs £4.99 a month, or £49.99 for 12 months paid upfront. Each seat includes 30 GB of video, shared across the club.
  • Prices include VAT.
  • Extra video space is sold in packs on the same subscription, at the same billing interval:
  • 50 GB: £1.99 a month, or £19.90 for 12 months paid upfront
  • 250 GB: £7.99 a month, or £79.90 for 12 months paid upfront
  • 1000 GB: £24.99 a month, or £249.90 for 12 months paid upfront
  • A club buys a number of seats at once and uses them as it adds teams and coaches. It can buy more seats, or packs, at any time: the price for the rest of the paid period is shown first and charged at once, and nothing changes if the card does not pay. Seats and packs are not lowered inside the platform: ask us.

5. Paying

Egon Expert Ltd takes all payments for the platform. Payment is by card only, through Stripe, who process the card for us: we never see your card number. We do not take payment by invoice or by Direct Debit. Stripe sends a receipt for each payment, in the name of Egon Expert Ltd, with its VAT number GB271922107.

6. Renewing and cancelling

A subscription renews for the same period unless it is cancelled. The head coach can cancel at any time from Manage billing, and the club then keeps working until the end of the period it has paid for. We do not refund a period that has already been paid for, except where the law requires us to or where the fault is ours. To ask, write to [email protected].

7. If a payment fails or the plan ends

  • If a payment fails, or a paid period ends without renewing, the club keeps working for 7 days. Only the head coach is told.
  • After that the plan is locked: nobody in the club can open its information. There is no export and no read-only view. Only the head coach can open the plan and billing page.
  • A locked club's information is kept for 60 days and then deleted. If the plan is paid before then, everything comes back.
  • Players use the platform through their club. While the club's plan is locked, what they were shown is not available to them.

8. Video

  • Video you upload is converted to 1080p, and the original is deleted once the converted copy is ready. This cannot be undone: keep your own copy of any video you cannot lose.
  • A club may keep video up to its allowance: what its seats include, and its packs. When it is full, new uploads are refused until the club deletes some video or adds space. Nothing is deleted because a club is over its allowance, and the videos the club has keep playing.

9. The club's information, and children

The club decides what it records and who may see it. The club is responsible for having the consent it needs from the parents of the children whose images, voices or names it records, and for following its own policy and the guidance of its governing body. For the personal data the club puts on the platform, the club decides how it is used and Egon Expert Ltd handles it on the club's behalf. The terms for that are in Schedule 1 at the end of these terms.

10. Using the platform

  • Each coach uses their own sign-in. A sign-in is not shared between people, because a seat is one person.
  • Do not use the platform for anything unlawful, to upload what you have no right to, or to try to break or overload it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change affects the club, we email the head coach at least 30 days before it takes effect and show its date on this page. The head coach may cancel before then, and the club keeps working until the end of the period it has paid for. A change that the law or the security of the platform requires can take effect sooner.

12. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow to be limited. Subject to that, our total liability to the club for all claims arising from these terms or the platform is limited to the fees the club paid in the 12 months before the claim arose.

13. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. This does not take away any right the law gives a consumer to bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where they live.

Schedule 1. Processing the club's personal data

This schedule applies to the personal data the club puts on the platform (the "club data"). The club decides how club data is used (the "controller") and Egon Expert Ltd handles it on the club's behalf (the "processor"), under the UK GDPR.

  • What and whom. Club data is what a club records about its players, coaches and the other people who appear in its events, notes, photos, voice notes, video, drawings, sessions, line-ups and reviews, and it may be about children. It is handled to provide the platform to the club, for as long as the club's plan is active and until it is deleted as section 7 says.
  • Instructions. We handle club data only on the club's written instructions, which are these terms and the club's use of the platform, unless the law requires otherwise; if it does, we tell the club first unless the law forbids it. We tell the club if we think an instruction breaks the law.
  • Confidentiality. Everyone at the company who can open club data is bound to keep it confidential.
  • Security. We keep the measures described under "Keeping it safe" in the privacy notice, and keep them suitable for the risk.
  • Suppliers. The club allows us to use suppliers of the kinds listed in the privacy notice to run the platform. We have a written contract with each that requires it to protect club data and use it only on our instructions, and we remain responsible to the club for them. [to be completed: how a club is told of a change of supplier, if the suppliers are not named in the terms]
  • Requests from people. We help the club answer people who ask about their information, through the platform's own tools (My data and Erase) and by hand on request. If a person asks us directly about club data, we pass the request to the club's head coach within 5 working days and tell the person.
  • Breaches and assessments. We tell the club's head coach without undue delay after we become aware of a personal data breach affecting club data, and we help the club meet its own duties to the Information Commissioner and to people, and with any data protection impact assessment it carries out.
  • When the plan ends. On the head coach's written request, made before the deletion date, we send a copy of the club's content in a common format. When the club is deleted (section 7) we delete club data and the copies we hold, except where the law requires us to keep it; copies in backups go when the backup does.
  • Showing we comply. We give the club the information it needs to show that we meet this schedule, and allow the club, or someone it appoints, to check, with reasonable notice.
  • Outside the UK. We do not move club data outside the UK except as the privacy notice describes and with the safeguards the law requires.
