Cookie notice

Version 2026-10-19. The website sets no cookies; the app uses three that it needs.

This is a draft. It has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor.

1. What this covers

This notice lists what Nothing Unlucky and its website keep on your device: cookies, and the other kinds of storage a browser offers. It is from Egon Expert Ltd. Egon Expert Ltd ยท registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

2. The website

At the time of writing the website sets no cookies, keeps nothing on your device, runs no advertising, and loads nothing from other websites.

The website does count visits, without a cookie. When a page is opened, or the button to ask for an invitation or to sign in is pressed, it sends the platform one short message: the page, the name of the website you came from (if any), and whether you are on a phone, a tablet or a computer. The platform adds one to that day's count and keeps nothing that says who you are: no address and no identifier. If your browser tells websites not to track you (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control), nothing is sent. The counts are kept for 400 days. Nothing is stored on your device and nothing that says who you are is kept, so we do not ask for consent to count visits.

3. The platform: cookies

The platform uses three cookies. All are needed for it to work, so it does not ask for consent. Each can only be read by the platform's server, is sent only over an encrypted connection, and is not sent when another website's page asks for something in the background.

  • ma_session keeps you signed in. It lasts 30 days, and is removed when you sign out.
  • ma_club remembers which of your clubs you are working in, if you belong to more than one. It lasts 30 days, and is removed when you sign out. It is only a choice: the platform checks it against your memberships on every request.
  • ma_oauth holds the state of a sign-in with Google while it is happening. It lasts 10 minutes.

4. The platform: storage in your browser

Browsers also let a website keep information on your device without a cookie. The platform keeps:

This is kept until you clear the site's data in your browser. Clearing it on a phone that has not yet sent its notes loses them.

  • Your choices: whether the screens are light, dark or follow your device; the language you last translated notes into; which parts of a screen you folded away; the rate you last set for footage; the last video you opened; and whether you have dismissed the prompt to install the app.
  • A copy of who you are signed in as, so the screens can open at once.
  • What the phone has not yet sent, so that nothing is lost with no signal: events, notes, photos, voice notes, the match clock and changes you have made, with a copy of the lists the screens show. It is sent when there is a signal, and kept until it is.
  • The app's own files, kept by the browser so that the app opens with no signal. They hold no personal information.

5. Other websites

  • YouTube. When a club has added a YouTube video, the platform loads YouTube's privacy-enhanced player from YouTube (Google) to show it, which sets fewer cookies until you play the video. YouTube may set its own cookies when you do, and we do not control them. A club that uses no YouTube video never loads it.
  • Sign in with Google. Choosing it sends you to Google's own page.
  • Paying. The payment page belongs to Stripe, and has its own notice.

6. Notifications

If you turn on push messages, your browser keeps a subscription for the platform. You can turn them off in the platform's Account screen or in your browser's settings for the site.

7. Your choices

You can delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings, and block cookies altogether, but the platform will not let you sign in without its sign-in cookie. The cookies and the storage above are needed for the platform to do what you ask, so we do not ask for your consent for them.

8. Changes

We may change this notice. If a change affects what the platform keeps on your device, we email the head coach 30 days before it takes effect, and the page shows the date of the version.
